TomTom (the most famous creators of the Sat Nav) have actually teamed up with Apple in making a piece of sofware for the iPhone that does something very similar to a normal Sat Nav?
Well the short answer, no. This is coming to the iPhone for around £60 which is not cheap at all. All is good and well but what happens if you recieve a phone call when trying to listen to the nice woman telling you where to go. Is the lovely Sat Nav woman simply saying “please stop here while you take the call” as you frantically answer “BUT I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF A MOTORWAY!!!Most inventions have a few problems and this is certainly no different to that.
Another problem with this is that it is no cheaper and in fact more expensive than a Sat Nav that can do a bit more than this application. Is it not just promoting you to look at your mobile phone when you are driving your nice, soon to be wrecked (if you are constantly looking at your phone) Honda orToyota?
It could be no more than all the hype the iPhone seems to recieve? Other mobile phones have been able to do this for many years, what makes the one on the iPhone any better in any way at all? Well in honest opinion, it isn’t. However it could be a nice touch for any owner of the iPhone and it also maps more than the UK which says a lot compared to other full price Sat Navs.
It doesn’t matter what car you have, or even if you are thinking of getting used cars it can work with anything just like a normal Sat Nav.
The iPhone application is jsut another option should you be interested in buying a Sat Nav.
