Wintertime can be rather a pricey time of the year; I mean there are literally so many different things that you have to pay for. There is so many special occasions that will set you back a bit such as Halloween and Christmas. But there is also another problem with winter time. Your cars tend to break down a vast amount more during the summer months. So let’s have a look at some regular wintertime occurrences.

Windscreen Wipers

The windscreen wipers, probably happen to be the most common problem during the winter months. There is a reason as to why and this is due down to the fact that throughout the summer months, people really do not use their wipers and it barely rains. But when the wintertime strikes the deluge causes the problems. So just before the summertime ends I would look at getting some new wipers installed.

Engine

The engine of a automobile gets a whole lot noisier and ineffective in the wintertime months, this is again due down to the fact that the engine and the pipes become frozen and have to work overtime to heat themselves up. This all makes the automobile break down and cause maintenance expenses.

Exhaust

The exhaust system is the final thing that forever incline to break on you in the wintertime months. It may have been going well all summer but because of the rain and water constantly splashing up on the exhaust, it quickly causes rust, which will then ultimately make a hole in your exhaust which will then expand and need replacing over time.

There are many more problems that can occur with your car during the winter months, but just make sure that you get your vehicle serviced before winter gets here.

When your old car has had it, why not look at purchasing or viewing used cars, there are so many different models of Honda or Mercedes

Money is presently tight with a lot of people, but people in this day and age still need cars if they want to get around anyplace. But what will be more effective to buy, would it be a cumulation of junk or a brand new vehicle? Let’s have a look at the asset and negative sides of both.

New Cars

Initially news cars tend to be much more reliable than older versions. As well as this they are much more comforting then the old model of cars. You are in all likelihood going to end up saving a huge amount of money on petrol costs merely because new cars are a lot more efficient than your old models. You are going to save yourself money on things such as break down costs. The negative aspects of getting a new vehicle is that you will end up paying a huge volume more to insure yourself. Also if the automobile does happen to break down then you are going to end up paying more for parts.

Used Cars

Well used vehicles are precisley that, they are simply used cars that have been around for numerous years. You are not genuinely going to find any current or up to date technology in these cars, the vehicles have also in all likelihood got to a stage where they are going to tardily begin breaking down, therefore ending up costing you a lot throughout the year in repairs. But the benefits that you can get from buying a used car, is simply the fact that they are a lot cheaper to buy, the insurance is going to cost you a lot less and you are probably going to end up saving money in the long run.

When your old vehicle has had it, why not look at purchasing or taking a look at used cars, there are so many different models of Audi or Mercedes

A few years ago I was asked to prepare an article which could help to enhance the reputations of used car salesmen. It is obvious that I was no miracle worker, but it was something that could well be directed in the right direction.

At the time I was working as a part time journalist, but chance had it that a close family friend had been working in the car business for years. It was his proposition to come in to the company and pass a day or two on the job at the incisive end. In my opinion the best way to research is by being chucked into the deep end.

I had never before been to the garage where my friend worked, but knew I was close by when I saw a sign at the entrance to the mews saying Raffety’s used cars for sale. The showroom was deceptively spacious, and appeared to go back far towards the centre of the railway arch. There were many different makes and models on show.

When I arrived, a little later than promised, I saw a young chap on the forecourt applying some tender care to a old BMW. “Are you looking to Buy a Honda“, he asked with a hopeful look on his face. I straight off thought he must be on some sort of commission agreement, as he seemed to waste no time in speaking to me.

“No thanks” I replied, “I am hear to see how the business works, and to write an article for the local newspaper.”

Having made my introductions, I was positioned near a telephone and told to be the ‘voice’ of the company. I did enjoy this as I had built quite a good rappor with the public. Perhaps the most common question that I was asked was ‘do you know where I can Buy a Renault.’

There is a huge volume of people who pass their driving tests, but do not know what to expect. So let us take a look at the first initial years of driving and take a look at a few things that you can really expect to happen during the first few years

Year One

The first year is in all likelihood the most nerve racking and most expensive. Your insurance rates will probably explode through the roof. As well as this you are in all likelihood going to end up bumping your automobile either once or twice throughout the year. I still have yet to come across somebody that has not bumped their automobile in the first year of driving.

Year Two

You are now starting to build up self-confidence and your driving is getting a lot better. You have in all likelihood upgraded your vehicle and your insurance premium has dropped more or less.

Year Four

You are now a fully vaned cracking driver your self-assurance has frown over the recent years and you have in all likelihood had your great share of speeding tickets and collisions. You are now beginning to become a much more mature driver.

Year Ten

You are the now a great mature driver, you have built up years of no claims bonuses and your insurance premium is near enough nothing, you are allowed to drive every car you like and you are probably now teaching other people to drive in the same way.

Year Forty

This is when you probably start losing it a little and begin to have slower reactions and ultimately see your insurance premiums on the rise again. The best time for cheap driving is probably from the ages of 25 to around the 50 mark. When you’re driving and patience then ultimately begins to deteriorate slightly.

When your old vehicle has had it, why not look at buying or viewing used cars, there are so many different models of Audi or Mercedes

Cars are essential in everyones life, you literally cannot do anything in this day and age unless you have a good mode of transport, but life is so hectic that these days people really do not have the energy or momentum to drive. The is why there has been a drop in dispatch of used cars and new cars. People are opting to get public channel.

Well, all of this could be changing within the next few years, as technology develops and progresses new methods of transport are filtering through. One of these modes of carry is the driverless vehicles. Heathrow airport in Greater london have of late proclaimed that they will be moving forwards with introducing a new cab that will be able to bring passengers along Terminal 5.

The system itself cost around £25 million to create, the vehicle travels at up to 25mph, it basically uses computer laser guidance to keep it on course. The maker has indicated that the system could be exploited in city centres.

Simply what will this mean to the economy? I mean we already are in the thick of one of the largest economical downturns that we have ever witnessed, for certain introducing something like this will make thousands if not millions of people become out of work. I mean autobus drivers, train drivers and cab drivers would be an out-and-out affair of the past.

We acknowledge the technology is there to manage this on a big scale, I mean we have satellite piloting systems that know our real time positioning, we have intelligent automobile sensors. The only thing that is really left is satelite tracking over the internet, which will allow cars to drive on their own and something like this is only around the corner.

In the next decade having a driving license may well be something of the past.

Do you want to Buy a Honda or Buy a Nissan

An increasing number of motorists are complaining that car parking spaces, in various car parks, are simply too small. Is this really the case or is the problem due to the increase in size of the vehicles people are driving these days?

The largest operator of public car parks in the United Kingdom, Park Rite, say that the dimensions of parking spaces need to relate to the vehicles that the space is intended for. The current standard calls for bays that are 2.4m wide and 4.8m in length. But many of todays popular vehicles will only just fit into this space leaving no room for doors to be opened easily.

There have been reports that some car park operators have purposely made some of their parking spaces narrower in order to squeeze more vehicles into their car parks. Some of the worst offenders are reported to be certain hospital car parks, some supermarkets and some long-stay airport parking lots. There have been reports, from some long stay airport car parks , of people unable to open their doors due to adjacent vehicles being parked too close.

Is the problem due to the size of parking spaces or is it due to the increase in the size of popular cars? A common and popular 4 wheel drive vehicle is the Toyota Rav4. This common four wheel drive car has a width of 1.815m, without its mirrors. If we allow around 35cm for the wing mirrors this brings the width up to 1.85m. In a parking space of 2.4m width leaving only 0.55m or as little as 0.275m on either side. Clearly a bit of squeeze when opening the doors and getting in and out of the car.

Narrow parking spaces present a particular problem for many vehicles that have long side doors, as do many 3 door models. The popular Renault Clio 3 Door, for example, has a width, including mirrors, of 2.025m. In a standard 2.4m space this would leave only 0.375m or only around 0.19m either side for opening the doors and getting into and out of the car.

The only option available to motorists is to complain to the car park operators and ask for larger parking bays that can accommodate wider vehicles.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Top Tip: Make the most of your trip by spending a night in an airport hotel before your flight. And why not enjoy the hospitality of an airport lounge before you fly.

We all know that if an emergency vehicles comes up behind you when driving, you should try and let it through. If you don’t let the vehicle through, you could be stopping the services from saving lives.

The majority of situations, you are driving along the road as an emergency vehicles comes up behind you and it’s fairly easy to get out the way. However, where do you move if you’re sitting at a red light? This was the decision that had to be made by Philip Lilley while he was waiting at a red light.

The two cars ahead of him, one on the left hand lane and one directly ahead of his car had already moved out into the junction to make way. Now the decision was down to Mr Lilley, either choose to move over the white line into the junction, or just sit there and block the emergency vehicle’s path.

With only a few seconds to make up his mind, he choose to move out and give some passing space. However, even though he let the emergency vehicle pass through the lights, Mr Lilley still received 3 points on his licence and a fine for jumping lights. You could question it by saying he didn’t jump the lights because only around a yard of his car was over the line.

The Driving Standards Agency said to Mr Lilley that rule 219 of the Highway Code is ‘motorists should consider oncoming emergency vehicles but comply with traffic signs’. However, Mr Lilley now thinks the same as I do. If people are going to be worried about getting fined and having points on their licence, a large number of people won’t move out of the way for these vehicles, this could result in lost lives.

So if you were in that situation, would you still move out into the junction to let an emergency vehicle through if you knew you were going to get a fine? Mr Lilley always would have done without thinking about it, not so much now though.

If you are on the search for cheap car leasing deals, you’ll find the best offers online. Whether you are looking for something with a little more luxury like a BMW lease, or possible a slightly cheaper car like a Fiat lease, the absolute best deals can be found online.

As we advance in technology so does the car sector, there are literally so many new vehicles that hit the market every single day, but none of them really do anything innovative in their launch. There is one thing that I have always truly wondered, I mean why do the car manufacturers not implement CCTV in the vehicles they make.

We all know that the technology is availiable to place tiny cameras in place that thieves cannot spot. These cameras can then be uploaded onto a computer storage disk which will act as a storing point which can then be played back if there was a automobile theft.

Theft of used cars are emphatically on the rise, even a news story that was broadcast only of late has declared that police officers are the worst perpetrator for taking things from unsecured cars. But its just not how you would think, police officers were actually doing this because people leave their cars unlocked. So it is just showing them in plain action just how easy it can be to take.

Only the other day a close contact of mine got their car stolen and burnt out by some so called joy riders. Now this was quite an expensive vehicle and the people that did it got away with it all. Can you now imagine if this car was instead fitted with a digital surveillance device that saw these so called joyriders. The camera would basically work like a black box that you can find in an aeroplanes cockpit and record everything that has been happening in the vehicle for the last 24-48 hours. Although people may think that it is interfering with their privacy, it will save the economy a huge amount of money.

Thousands if not millions of people every single year purchase used cars for sale, one of the main reasons that people buy new cars is simply due down to the fact that they hold their value a lot more then new ones. I mean as soon as you buy a new automobile it straight off drops thousands of pounds. But there are a few used cars that would do this.

But in person I think that buying a secondhand automobile privately is by all odds the better choice to take, so let us take a look at a few of the reasons why.

Price

Probably the most important aspect is the price, if you see a car selling privately for one thousand pounds and then you go and find the same car at a garage, they would have probably added an extra one thousand onto the price.

Reason

A vast amount of people that sell their private vehicles do have a genuine reason to do so. The same thing cannot be said for car garages, they just sell cars to earn money from it so they dont care about the customer.

No Funny Deals

Garages have a immense inclination to try and push a vehicle on to you, even more they try to lock you into finance agreements, which although may sound really hopeful, will always see you paying much more then the automobile is worth. Once more the same cannot be said for private owners they have a frozen cost and they will not increase it above that.

There are so many more beneficial reasons as to why you should choose the private option. In the end most private sellers are actual and truthful and what you see is what you get. As long as you acknowledge what to check for on a site you should be secure from picking up a dodgy automobile.

Do you want to Buy a new BMW or Buy a Renault

As the credit crunch settles in more and more people are looking to cut back on their spending habits. One matter a lot of families are now not looking at is purchasing new cars, they are alternatively opting for choosing to drive around used cars, which are a lot cheaper to buy. But there are actually many benefits that you can get from a new car so lets have a look at a few.

More Comfortable

If you have every driven a new automobile you will come to see just how comfortable they are, in cars older than a few years they begin to get rickety and noisy. When you are driving a new vehicle it is just so absolutely smooth on the road and travels so well.

Better Miles

Old cars tend to burn a lot more fuel than the new economical ones. You will get so many more miles out of your new vehicle than you would the old one.

Save the Planet

If you really want to help to protect the planet, then you should go out and purchase a new car right now. Old vehicle harm the planet an unprecedented amount. The newer model of vehicles have much better Co2 emission levels.

Safer

We all remember vehicles that were created numerous decades ago, no airbags or no safety features whatsoever. Now take a look at the more modern vehicles and see the difference. If you use the car quite a bit then safety should really come first.

More Reliable

No more breakdowns or failed startups. There is nothing worse in the cold winter months than your car failing to begin and leaving you stuck in the cold or even worse the snow!

Superb used cars, Looking for a great BMW or Mercedes
